Home · The Atelier

Quietly,
for ten years.

LUMA began as a two-desk atelier in Rhodes Park — a gemmologist, a bench jeweller, and the conviction that a diamond purchase should feel as considered as the stone itself.

Ten years on, the same two principles govern everything we make. Documents first: every central stone of 0.25 carat and above carries a laboratory certificate, and every finished piece leaves with an independent valuation for insurance. Hands second: our settings are made and finished on the bench, not stamped in a distant factory.

Our clients come from Lusaka's diplomatic quarters, the Copperbelt's boardrooms, and — in growing number — from families celebrating weddings and festivals in the Indian tradition beloved here. The measure of our work is the same for all: a piece that begins quietly and lasts a lifetime.

Sourcing & Ethics

Responsible, and able to prove it

We buy only from suppliers able to document Kimberley Process compliance, and we disclose provenance at the point of sale. Laboratory-grown stones are available on commission, fully disclosed on their certificates. No stone reaches the bench without a paper trail.

For clients who wish, we can arrange a loose-stone viewing before setting — you see, weigh and verify the certificate before a single prong touches it.
